Fay Archive (2020-2021)
A collaboration between Davide Monteleone Studio and Fay Brand and the production company Art&Vibes and Chiara Battistini to relaunch the Fay Archive Collection in 2020. Davide Monteleone directed several short videos and a photographic campaigns to capture the spirit of authentic people passionate for their work and lifestyle around the globe.

THE HORSE BREEDER
An eternal story, in a land without a beginning or an end, where culture and tradition, handed down from father to son, live strong. An age-old pact with a true friend, who has accompanied man in battle, in the fields and in his voyages.
Breeding horses is not only an ancient, arduous and rewarding occupation; it is a lifestyle dictated by natural rhythms and forward-propelling impulses, in a mutual relationship of support and trust.

THE HERRING SMOKER
Petter Magnusson has chosen his father's hard job: together they sail the cold waters of the Baltic Sea every morning, casting the nets to catch dozens of herrings to be smoked following the traditional method learned from his family. A work made of sacrifice and solitude, which interconnects the destiny of human beings and nature, that marks its rhythms and times. Davide Monteleone tells through images the extraordinary story of a man who decided to live in close contact with nature and its wide spaces on the hidden island of Gotland, preserving its values and traditions with his work.

THE POWER OF THE WIND
Surfing takes strength, perseverance and extraordinary determination. It is a sport marked by wind-chafed cheeks, ice-cold water, purple noses and freezing feet. Embracing this way of life is all about seeking freedom and bonding with nature. Surfers love the outdoors and wait patiently for the perfect wave, watching the rolling clouds, the crashing waves. Joey’s entire life revolves around this world. His ambition is to create, with his own hands, the perfect board to bestow this feeling of absolute freedom on the surfers who venture into the high seas of the Canaries.

THE CATFISH CATCHER
“The life of a fisherman is tough and uncertain. But it’s my life, my greatest passion”. It is a craft you learn as a child and choose for its courage; a continuous dialogue with the river with a view to revealing its secrets. Becoming a fisherman requires hard work, tenacity and determination: it is a daily struggle where the only virtues required are patience, trust and humility. This veiled beauty is portrayed by artist and photojournalist Davide Monteleone among remote landscapes that magically come to life.

THE SHIPWRIGHT
In the small port of Gotland, Sweden, Rolf Erixson looks proudly at one of the boats he manufactured with his own hands and great passion.He is a man in love with the sea who has chosen to live in the wilderness of a far away island, forging with thorough commitment boats that will one day sail the cold waters of the Baltic.Master carpenter: in this definition the scent of the sea and that of the forest intertwine, combined in a vocation with an ancient tradition.

THE WOODCUTTER
Andrei, a lumberjack, is the protagonist in this story. The woodcutter. He lives in Russia, in the forest just like Vitali the fisherman, our final protagonist. These men hold down challenging and tough jobs in the midst of nature itself.
Fay Archive, along with reporter Davide Monteleone are constantly on the hunt for people to test the resilience and reliability of their jackets on.

THE DAIRY FARMER
Rikard Rietz is a young documentary filmmaker who splits his time between his city life and the vastness of nature. A free man who decides to respond to the ancestral call of the earth, devoting to the traditional work of his family: a small business of the highest quality dairy products. An ordinary life in the open spaces of the cold Swedish countryside, made of long days starting at the crack of dawn.
